Maybank Host Open House

Begawan - Maybank hosted a Malaysian-style "Open House" to
celebrate Hari Raya with some 100 guests including the bank's
customers and staff at the Jerudong Park and Polo Club yesterday
afternoon.
Guests were treated to a sumptuous
spread of local and Malaysian cuisine during the festive, event. The
gathering was part of Maybank Group's community relation programme,
which helps to foster closer ties between the bank's staff and its
customers, said kncik Azizul A Rashid, the Country Head and General
Manager of Mavbank Brunei.
"The open house celebration is a
unique part of our cultural heritage that enables different
communities to celebrate each other's festivities in a spirit of
mutual respect and understanding of the richness of each other's
culture," he said. Furthermore, it reinforces neighbourliness and
goodwill as well as promotes peace and harmony in the community, he
added.
Maybank
has been in operation in Brunei since November 1960 and was the first
overseas unit of Maybank. Maybank currently has three branches in the
