RBLF Rugby Tournament

Bandar Seri Begawan - Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) will be organising a 7a-side rugby tournament on Sunday, Nov 12 at the Mini Stadium, Penanjong Garrison in conjunction with its 45th anniversary celebration.

Eight teams have confirmed their participation in this one-day event. The teams are divided into two groups. In Group A, Bandar Blacks are placed with Royal Brunei Police Force, Royal Brunei Armed Forces and Royal Brunei Navy.

The host Royal Brunei Land Force are grouped with Royal Brunei Yacht Club, Belait District Pythons and St Michael's School Boys' Rugby Club in Group B.

This tournament also serves as the selection match for Brunei rugby team to the 2007 South East Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand. The organising chairman Captain Sopian bin Hj Mohammad Yassin will be selecting some of the potential players for the Brunei squad.

The training for the team, under the supervision of the Youth and Sports Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth - and Sports, will commence in January.
