Standard Chartered Bank Holds
‘Open House'

Begawan - Standard Chartered Bank celebrated the Hari Raya
festive season by holding an "open house" for its customers.
The Hari Raya celebration was held at
the Songket Hall of the Rizqun International Hotel. The event was
graced by distinguished guests such as Pehin Dato Seri Pahlawan Awg Hj
Mohammad bin Hj Daud, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also
present were senior government officials, dignitaries and prominent
businessmen.
Whilst enjoying a spread of sumptuous
Malay cuisine, the guests were entertained by performances by the
bank's very own "singing artistes". This was followed by a vibrant
fashion show featuring several local batik creations.
"It has been another successful year
in 2006 for Standard Chartered
Bank and we would not have achieved
this success without the support of our customers. We launched SME
Business Centre and Business Credit Card to support SME segment early
this year andwe have now insurance products to suit our customers.
"We are also responsible for many of
the corporate social activities such as raising the awareness and
raising funds for our Seeing is Believing (SIB) Global Initiative for
the visually impaired. We work closely with our partners in the
Ministry of Health and the Brunei AIDS Council, on SIB as well as for
raising the awareness of HIV/AIDS.
"We have continued to support the
Government and the community in international events such as the
Brunei Open and the Marathon. We will continue to strive to lead in
product innovation and customer services and we wish all our
associates and customers Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, and a
successful and prosperous year," said Mdm Tiew Chuen, Chief Executive
