Forestry Dept Holds Raya Gathering, Nasyid Contest

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Forestry Department, Ministry of Primary Resources, Brunei yesterday held a Hari Raya gathering at its Setia Pahlawan Hall.

Present at the event's guest of honour was Hi Saidin Hj Salleh, the Director of Forestry Department. Also in attendance; were some 200 invited guestsand their family members.

The function also saw a competition and Nasyid performances from Nur Hidayah, Mukhlisa, Nurbani as well as staff members of the Forestry Department.

At the end of the contest, a prize presentation ceremony was held for the winners and souvenirs were given to the judges. There were also a lucky draw and bersalam-salaman. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
