Safety Barriers Erected On Highway

Bandar Seri Begawan - Construction and repair works at a junction along Tutong-Muara highway are completed following a fatal accident last month.

Work started in response to a call about a possible safety loophole after an exposed iron barrier pierced through an ill-fated car, which crashed onto the barriers last Oct 29.

The broken barriers were replaced and extra central safety barriers were installed to stop vehicles involved in accident from going to the opposite side of the road. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
