Yayasan SHHB Primary Staff Join Jawi Teaching Workshop

Bandar Seri Begawan - Some 15 Malay Language teachers from Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School took part in a Jawi Teaching Workshop yesterday.

The workshop, the first of its kind ever to be held, was intended to equip participants with knowledge and skills related to the teaching and learning of Jawi in school.

The activity also gave insight to the rules and guidelines in Jawi writing and reading.

Present at the workshop which was held at the TASKA Supplementary Building was the principal of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School, Hjh Zaiton Abu Bakar.

The Jawi Teaching Workshop received overwhelming response from the teachers of the school. The activity will be held every year as part of the school's programme of activities for its teachers.

The - one-day workshop was conducted by two experienced teaching staff from the government schools - Cikgu Pg Ha Hamdan Pg Hj Abd Rahman and Cikgu Dyg Hjh Jauyah Hj Tuah. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
