Welcoming Dinner For Delegates

Bandar Seri Begawan - With the UPU Strategy Conference in Dubai around the corner, the ASEAN Post CEO Round Table Meeting is carried out at the most opportune time for delegates to attend Strategy Conference with a common perception of the region.

Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications, Pg Hj Mohd Yakub Pg Hj Othman, highlighted this in his speech at the Welcoming Dinner for ASEAN Post CEO delegates who are in the Sultanate to attend the meeting today.

He noted the importance of the ASEAN Post CEO Round Table Meeting as a forum to enhance cooperation and finding ways to further improve their services.

"It is an effective platform for continuous discussion, exchange of information and cooperation for the improvement of the postal services in this region" he said, adding that the outcome of the meeting will chart the future directions of the postal industry in the ASEAN region.

Amongst others present at the welcoming dinner was the Managing Director and CEO of Malaysia Post, who is also the Chairman of the ASEAN Post CEO Round Table Meeting, Dato 'Ikmal Hijaz Hashim.

In conjunction with the nation's Postal Services Department 100th anniversary, Brunei Darussalam as a member of ASEAN Postal Administrations is hosting the ASEAN Post CEO Round Table Meeting where the discussions will include matters for the upcoming Dubai Strategy Conference. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
