Multimedia Courseware Training For Maths Teachers

Bandar Seri Begawan - Rimba Secondary School, the host of the Secondary School Based ICT Subject Committee and ICDL Training Centre, has started a series of training sessions on developing Multimedia Courseware for Mathematics teachers from 28 government secondary schools from November 6 through January 2007.

The authoring tool used is HyperStudio, an interactive and user-friendly software available in all schools in the country.

The instructor of the workshop is Mr Chong Jon Fong, Head of ICT Department of Rimba Secondary School and chairperson of the ICT subject committee.

Meanwhile, Dk Sarimah bte Pg Hj Ahmad, Principal of Rimba Secondary School and adviser of the ICT Subject Committee, stressed on the importance of ICT integration in the teaching of Mathematics in schools.

She said HyperStudio is very creative software that gives teachers versatility and opportunities for making nonlinear and multimedia presentations.

She called on the course participants to share the newly acquired skills with their colleagues in order to reform the way teaching and learning in their respective schools. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
