National Business Conference 2006
By Sonia K
Bandar Seri
Begawan - The annual National Business Conference organised by
Asia Inc Forum is scheduled to take place on November 30 at the Empire
Hotel and Country Club.
Every year, more than 300 corporate
executives, policymakers and entrepreneurs from Brunei, with guests
from abroad, meet at this conference to discuss opportunities and
challenges in the context of Asean and globalisation, in an
environment that respects a diversity of opinions.
Themed "How Will the Future -Be
Different?", this year's programme will be staged in six sessions. It
will address questions on the future of Asean and the changes it must
anticipate, the Oman story: strategies for oil and gas economies, the
wider regional implications of Thailand's coup, industries of the
future and how Brunei can capitalise.
More overseas speakers will take part
this year, including distinguished leaders, experts, politicians and
trailblazers from Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Oman.
High-level business delegations from
Sabah and Sarawak are expected to participate, and co-partner ING will
host a by-invitation golf tournament the day prior to the conference.
The National Business Conference 2006
is partnered by TOTAL, Brunei LNG ING Private Bank and BearingPoint
and supported by The Empire Hotel and Country Club, RTB and Brunei
Press.
