Holding Open House To Strengthen Family Ties

Bandar Seri Begawan - For Hjh Julia Hj Saifuddin, the Hari Raya gathering is especially meaningful to her family. Each` year, she organises an open house for family members and friends at her residence in Sungai Liang, a fast developing village located in the Belait district.

"We have done this for years and I think this gathering helps reinforce ties and values among family members while preserving them.

Having different beliefs does not mean family relationship stops there," she said, adding that while her father has embraced Islam in his younger days, none of her fathers' siblings followed in his footstep.
