Hari Raya Get-Together For New Converts

Bandar Seri Begawan - New Muslim converts residing in Kampong Bebuloh and its surrounding areas held a Hari Raya get-together with officers and staff of the Islamic Dakwah Centre Saturday night. The event was held at the Kampong Bebuloh Religious Centre.

Guest of honour was Head of Administration, Islamic Dakwah Centre, Hajah Hasnah bte Haji Omar, who presented the new converts with gift hampers.

The celebration began with a mass recital of Surah al-Fatihah by attendees followed by a welcoming speech by village head, Awang Muhd Sa' id bin Tundak. Head of the Islamic and Guidance Conservation Section, Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdul Kahar, also delivered a speech and handed out green packets to children.

A Tausyeh and Nasyid performance as well as a Hari Raya quiz were held as guests enjoyed the Hari Raya feast. The function ended with a doa selamat led by Ustaz Md Saiffullah bin Hj Md Sofian. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
