Haj Course Comes To A Close

Bandar Seri Begawan - A doa kesyukuran and a closing, ceremony for a haj pilgrimage course in Tutong District was recently held at Puteri Norain Religious' School.

Attending the ceremony as the chief guest was Tutong District officer Awg Abdul Mutalib bin Hj Idris.

In his speech, he applauded Tutong District's pilgrimage committee members in organising the course for the district's intending pilgrims. He also hoped all the intending pilgrims will

practise all the knowledge they have gained from the course during the haj.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the ceremony Awg Ramli bin Hj Lahit said that about 44 males and 56 females intend to perform the pilgrimage this year from Tutong.

On the topic of the course, he said intending pilgrims who have attended the course from July to September 17, have shown positive response.

The event also saw a special religious talk delivered by Ustaz Awg Hj Ismali bin Mat Ariff from Unit Ceramah and Media Elektronik, Pusat Dakwah Islamiah, Ministry of Religious Affair. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
