Tumpuan Telisai Primary School In Raya Spirit

Bandar Seri Begawan - Tumpuan Telisai Primary School schoolteachers and Parent Teacher Association (PTA) committee members recently held Hari Raya as well as Teacher's Day celebrations at the school multipurpose hall.

Attending the ceremony as the guest of honour was Orang Kaya Pekerma Indera (OKPI) Awg Hassan bin Ibrahim, former penghulu of Mukim Telisai, Tutong.

Also present at the event were Telisai Village Headman Awg Hj Mohd Zun bin Hj Tjain, PTA committee members, parents, school staff and pupils.

PTA Deputy Chairman Awg Aliasim bin Hj Ismail said in his welcoming speech that among the objectives of the event was to strengthen ties among parents and the school teachers and staff. With the formation of the school PTA, both parents and the teachers can interact with each other discussing students' academic performances. He also urged all parents to support any activities organised by the school PTA.

The event also saw a Hari Raya singing performance by the school PTA committee members, joined by the guest of honour. This was followed by stage performances by the students and a lucky draw. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
