Education Ministry Celebrates Hani Raya

Bandar Seri Begawan - Some 800 teachers, officers and staff from the Ministry of Education (MoE) celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri in a grand dinner with lively entertainment held at the Songket Hall of Rizqun International Hotel on Saturday evening.

The guest of honour who graced the occasion was Pehin Dato Awang Hj Abdul Rahman, the Minister of Education.

Also present were Pengiran Dato Dr Haji Mohammad Bin Hj Abdul Rahman, Deputy Minister of Education and Data Paduka Sheikh Hj Adnan Bin Sheikh Hj Mohammad, Permanent Secretary at the Education Ministry.

Dr Hj Mahali Bin Hj Momin, Director of Schools, in his capacity as the organising chairman of the event, said in his speech at the function that the Hari Raya celebration could foster closer ties and enhance cordial interaction among personnel of the ministry.

He said that this year's celebration was organised by the Department of Schools with cooperation from the various other departments under the Ministry of Education.

Besides walking away with lucky draw prizes, guests at the function were also entertained with music performed by the orchestra from the Co-Curriculum Education Department.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
