Ministry Of Development Holds Festive Gathering

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Development on Saturday held a Hari Raya Aidilfitri gathering which was attended by its personnel and their family members. The event took place at the Ministry of Development building at Old Airport.

Present as the guest of honour was the Minister of Development, Pehin Dato Paduka-Awang Hj Abdullah Bin Dato Paduka Hj Abu Bakar and wife.

Also in attendance were Deputy Minister of Development, Dato Paduka Dr Hj Mat Suny bin Hj Mohd Hussien, Permanent Secretary, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Directors of Department and other personnel of the ministry.

The event began with a feast of sumptuous Raya delicacies including traditional cakes served to the guests, followed by fun-filled activities such as a lucky draw, singing performances, "Bermukun" and fireworks.

This year, the ceremony was organised by the Land Department staff led by Land Commissioner, Pengiran Abdul Wahab bin Pengiran Hassan.

The Raya celebration is one of the annual activities of the Ministry of Development which is aimed at strengthening ties among staff and their family members.
