Her Majesty's Birthday Celebration AT ICC

Bandar Seri Begawan - Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Saleha last night consented to grace Her Majesty's birthday celebration at the Plenary Hall of International Convention Centre in Berakas.

Also gracing the royal birthday event were HRH Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar, YAM Pg Bini Hjh Faizah, HRH Princess Hjh Rashidah, HRH Princess Hjh Majeedah and other members of the royal family.

Upon arrival, Her Majesty was greeted by the Majlis Wanita Negara Brunei Darussalam's President, Datin Hjh Fatimah DatoAbang Hj Razali, and

Vice President 1 Pg Datin Hjh Hairani PML Pg Muda Abdul Kahar, who were the CoChair women of the Organising Committee. Also greeting Her Majesty were members of the Higher Committee of the royal birthday event.

Before entering the Plenary Hall, Her Majesty and other members of the royal family consented to have a group photo taken with the members of the Higher Committee.

Negara Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Shell Ladies Association (BSLA), PENJURU Association and PEKERTI Association.

It began with a welcoming speech by Datin Hjh Fatimah, where she highlighted that it was the second time that such an event was jointly organised by the respective associations.

This demonstrates the strong unity of cooperation, she said, adding that this was a positive sign in implementing projects. The Sultanate will be hosting the General Assembly of the 12th Asean Confederation of Women's Council (ACWO) on November 17-19.

Following the speech, Her Majesty consented to watch a video presentation before cutting the birthday cake. Her Majesty also consented to receive 'Pesambah' from various associations.

As dinner was served, a variety of performances were showcased by various associations including the spouses of foreign diplomats in the country.
