‘Open House' Event, 2nd Chance
Programme Of Kemuda Institute
By Azaraimy HH
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Kemuda Institute (KI), a pioneer private educational
institution of higher learning in Brunei, yesterday held a Hari Raya
"Open House" for all students as well as their families and friends at
its premises in Menglait.
About 70 people attended the
gathering, which has been held annually since KI was first established
in 1992.
KI
said that apart from tailor-made and high quality training programmes
for clients in both the government and private sectors, it is offering
internationally recognised certificate and diploma courses.
Over the years, KI has also
successfully arranged for local and foreign students to be placed in
universities and colleges abroad, including in the UK, Australia, New
Zealand, Canada and the US.
In addition, the institute has been
embarking on some educational plans to help under-privileged students
achieve higher academic qualifications through its 2nd Chance
Programme.
This would enable students, workers
and the unemployed to obtain university entrance overseas after
completing two to three years of certificate and diploma courses at
the institute.
