IET Brunei Delegation Attends
Conference In HK

Begawan - Three members from the IET Brunei Branch recently
left the Sultanate to attend the Far East Regional Network Conference
in Hong Kong.
The delegation, led by JET Chairman
Mr Ang Kian Guan, was also accompanied by Hj Rahman Hj Mudin and Mr
Siong.
Also attending the conference include
JET President (UK) Sir Robin Saxby, CEO - Alf Roberts, Facilitator Dr
N F Chin, Beijing Network - Prof Zhou, Japan Network - Professor
Ametani A, Mr Takashi Suzuki, Hong Kong Network - Mr CS Chang, Mr LM
Chow, Mr Albert Lam, Mr Philip Chin, Mr David Yuen, Mr Henry Cheung,
the New Newsletter Editor, Malaysia Network - Professor Mashkuri, Mr
SF Chew, Mr Victor Nagesparan, Mr Alan J Foley, Shanghai Network -
Professor Chen Huimin, Dr Wang Lingli, Singapore Network Dr Ong Jin
Teong, Mr Michael Wan, Mr Dennis Lin, YMB members - Mr Issac Hsu and
Regional Coordinator-Regent Lam.
Their trip to Hong Kong will also
include a visit to IET Regional & JET Hong Kong Office as well as a
presentation of an address by JET President.
Amongthe
topics to be presented at the event include introduction presentation
by each local networks: committee, activities, best practices, own
activities, cooperation with other institutions, views on UK
professional qualifications industries and many more.
Meanwhile, Regional Collaboration
Discussion will cover topics on Specific Sectors, Specific Industries,
Specific Disciplines and Funding Issues, while a talk on Promotion and
Marketing of JET in the Region as a Joint Effort will include
Membership and Professional Registration, Technical and Professional
Networks, School Promotions and Funding.
Adding to the discussion on Regional
Network Matters Communications it will cover Local Network to
Headquarters, Among Local Network within the Region, Regional
Newsletter, Incorporating UK "Career", "Localised" JET Review, while a
Regular Regional Network Conference will talk about Formation of the
Regional Network Interim Committee and Regional Representatives
