Fourth Issuance Of Short-Term Sukuk

Bandar Seri Begawan - With the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Brunei Darussalam, the Ministry of Finance, Brunei Darussalam announced the successful pricing of its 4th Issuance of Short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities.

The $120 million issue carrying a maturity of 91 days begins November 2, 2006 and matures on February 1, 2007, at a rental rate of 3.375 per cent.

This is the fourth issue of the short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities by the Brunei government following its successful maiden offering on April 6, 2006.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
