By James Kon

Bandar Seri Begawan - Nothing seems to be safe from thieves these days as even four-legged farm animals are being targeted.

In a surprising catch by the Jerudong District Police, two local men aged 22 and 27, were apprehended in connection with a case involving some missing goats.

Acting on a public tip-off on October 1, several CID officers from the Jerudong District Police detained the two men at the Kampong Masin Agricultural area.

During investigations, officers discovered two goats in the boot of the suspects' car that were believed to have been stolen from Kampong Subok.

Further investigations headed by Acting DCO of Jerudong District Police, Inspector Rosli bin Hj Turning, revealed that the men admitted to stealing a number of goats from several areas in Kampong Junjungan, Kampong Bengkurong and Kampong Subok.

They also confessed-to police that they did this together with another two friends. The other two accomplices are still at large and are being tracked down by police.

Further investigations are being carried out and those arrested will be brought to court after the investigation concludes.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
