Deputy Perm Secretary Visits
School In Kilanas

Begawan - The Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of
Religious Affairs, Dato Hj lshaaq Abdullah, yesterday made a working
visit to Pengiran Anak Puteri Majeedah Nurul Bulqiah Religious School
in Kilanas.
He was accompanied by Director of
Islamic Education Hjh Kasmah Hj Siput as well as officers from the
Ministry of Religious Affairs and Department of Islamic Education.
The visitors were welcomed by the
school's principal, Cikgu Hjh Notwvati Hj Abu Bakar. Dato Hj Ishaaq
Abdullah was briefed on the school's administration as well the
academic achievements of its students.
Initially the school was called
Sekolah Ugama Orang Kaya Setia Bakti, Kilanas and it conducted its
afternoon classes at Sekolah Rendah OKSB from 1958 until 1975.
From 1977 to 1983, the school used a
temporary building for its morning classes. Pengiran Anak Puteri
Majeedah Nurul Bulqiah Religious School was officially opened on
February 12, 1984 by Pehin Dato Awang Hj Abd Aziz bin Pehin Dato Awang
Hj Omar.
The school has a teaching staff of
33; 12 for the morning session and the rest for afternoon classes.
It currently has a student population
of 690, where 391 students are in the morning class and the rest are
