OGDC
By Hanni ABD
Bandar Seri
Begawan - To instil interest in science through fun learning,
70 Lower and Upper Kindergarten students of St Angela's School Seria
made a field trip to the Seria Oil and Gas Discovery Centre.
The trip was aimed at providing fun
and adventure for the pupils by bringing them outside the classroom
for a different learning experience.
The trip was led by Kindergarten
supervisor, Mrs Irma Leong who believed that learning should not be
confined to the four corners of the classroom and also the trip will
provide experiential learning to support their workbook in the
classroom.
At the OGDC, the pupils experienced
practical learning on different experiments and games suited for their
age of four to six years old. The trip ended with the students
watching a children's animated movie Barnyard'. .
The school is now open for
registration for parents who wish to enrol their children in the
school's nursery, lower and upper kindergarten classes.
The nursery school curriculum
encompasses language and literacy, mathematics, science and technology
and promotes personal and social development. The school also
emphasises on creative development through arts and crafts, dramatic
or imaginative plays and also music and dance. -- Courtesy of Borneo
