Temburong To Hold Bukit Patoi Carnival

Bangar - The Bukit Patoi Carnival 2006 will be held on December 3 at Bukit Patoi, Jalan Labu Temburong at Sam.

The event is co-organised by the Temburong District, Temburong Tourism of the Temburong District Office and the Temburong Scouts Federation.

According to Awg Metussin bin OKS Haji Tuba, the chairperson cum Assistant Temburong District Officer, the event will include a bazaar with exhibitions and selling of local products, a stage set up for a karaoke competition and cultural performances to be presented by various ethnic groups in Temburong District and sports (Sukan Ria) as well as a challenging activity for the public to climb Bukit Patoi.

He added that the event is a replacement for the Bukit Patoi Challenge, which has been postponed.

He said Temburong residents are urged to participate in the one-day event and members of the public are encouraged to turn up to show their support in promoting Temburong as one of the tourist destinations in the Sultanate. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
