Deputy Minister Makes Raya Visit To Kiudang

Bandar Seri Begawan - The new converts of Mukim Kiudang yesterday received a visit from Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin and his wife, in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebrations.

The visit commenced at the home of Kg Kiudang Village Head Saiful bin Abdullah Anja.

Also present were Tutong District Officer Mutalib bin Haji Idris, Islamic Dakwah Centre Acting Assistant Director Hj Mohammad bin Garing, and other officers from the Islamic Dakwah Centre.

The purpose of the visit was to enhance relations with the Mukim Kiudang community and its new converts. Mukim Kiudang is home to some 900 residents, 85 per cent of whom are Muslims.

The deputy minister later paid a visit to the home of Masnah bte Abdullah Angkai, who, together with her family recently embraced Islam. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
