LiveWIRE Brunei Business Awards

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Live WIRE Brunei Business Awards will be presented on November 7 to young entrepreneurs with outstanding talent, drive and perseverance in starting and growing their business.

Jointly sponsored by Brunei Shell Petroleum and HSBC, the awards- support the government's efforts to nurture an entrepreneurial culture among the youth.

Live WIRE Brunei was set up and fully funded by Brunei Shell Petroleum to raise awareness and motivate the young to take to business.

In Brunei Darussalam, it supports government's efforts to encourage the evolution of an entrepreneurial mindset among the younger population, and strengthen the foundation of the small-andmedium enterprises sector.

As principal co-sponsor, HSBC has been supporting Live WIRE Brunei since the first Business Awards were presented in 2001.

Besides extending financial support, HSBC has shared professional resources through youth training schemes, and provides advice, in banking and finance.

More than 35 entries are contending for this year's LiveWire business awards.

The programmes undertaken in 2005/ 2006 will be judged by the assessment and selection panel, whose five members come from KMPG, HSBC, UBD, Semaun Prim Sdn Bhd and SKS Engineering Sdn Bhd.

The entries have been assessed based on the candidates' written business plan, and finalists were required to do a presentation.
