Envoys Visit New Political Party

Begawan - Representatives of the British High Commission and
United States Embassy yesterday paid cordial visits to three-month old
political party, National Development Party (NDP) at the party's
headquarters in Jalan Jerudong.
Deputy British High Commissioner in
Brunei Mr Martin Walley said he was pleased to see a new political
party formed in the country and the high commission is looking forward
to working with the party in nation building.
He also hoped the party would be well
supported by the public. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of Mission for the US
Embassy Mr Jeffrey J. Hawkins, who visited the NDP headquarters in the
afternoon, welcomed every effort in promoting dialogues and public
participation.
On hand to welcome the visitors were
NDP's president Yasin Affandy, deputy president Mahmud Morshidi
Othman, secretary general Hj Aminorashid Hj Ghazali, and president's
press secretary Malai Hassan Othman. --
