By Malai FadleyRizal & Rol Ezam

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 31-year-old Indonesian was fined $500 or one month's jail in default after admitting to a charge of failing to produce her passport for arrival clearance.

Nurhidayah went to Limbang on October 8, this year to get an extension of her social visit pass.

However, she failed to produce her passport to the Immigration counter when she re-entered the country on the same day.

An Immigration officer on duty at the Kuala Lurah Control Post found this when the defendant produced her passport for arrival clearance on October 10.

The officer flipped through the pages of the defendant's passport and found no entry stamp endorsed for her arrival on October 8.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
