Istana Open To All For Hari Raya Second
Day On
Bandar Seri
Begawan – Istana Nurul Iman is opening its doors to guests from
all walks of life during the Hari Raya joy.
The palace will be open for three
days as from the second day of Hari Raya.
Beginning on the second day of Hari
Raya, Istana Nurul Iman is open from 10am until 12 noon and from 2pm
until 4pm so as to allow members of the public to convey their
greetings to His Majesty Sultan of Brunei and members of the royal
family.
Preparations for the festivity are
progressing well.
During the period the palace is open
for the public, thirty-five buses and mini buses will be provided to
transport people from Istana Nurul Iman's entrance.
Tents for temporary shelter are also
put up for the visitors while waiting for shuttle buses to the palace.
Visitors to the Royal Palace are
required to register upon arrival.
A number of passage ways and special
desks are set up to facilitate registration, as well as to write down
and record the number of visitors who have come to convey greetings
and junjung ziarah before His Majesty and members of the royal family.
Special food and drinks are served to
welcome Hari Raya greeters.
The food and drinks are special gift
from His Majesty and the royal family for the rakyat, visitors and
tourists during who make use of their greatest opportunity in
conveying personally Hari Raya greetings to His Majesty.
Several travel agents also take the
opportunity to visit Istana Nurul Iman during Hari Raya in their
packages.
The elderly and disabled people are
placed in a special area that they will feel comfortable throughout
the visit.
In this special area, they will have
their food and drinks accordingly without any rush.
Meanwhile, emergency services of
medical treatment are provided in case of unexpected happenings on the
visitors.
The medical teams are placed in
several strategic locations.
Rows of chairs are arranged in
systematic ways to give visitors and palace's guests’ comfort.
Three thousand and five hundred
chairs are provided in the waiting area before their turns to greet
His Majesty and members of the royal family.
The men and women visitors would line
up separately to smoothen the way to junjung ziarah.
Every visitor to the palace will not
leave empty handed.
They are given with a special CAMPUR
each as a token being guest of the palace.
Last year, more than 75,000 visitors
went to Istana Nurul Iman to convey Hari Raya greetings and junjung
ziarah to His Majesty and the royal family.
