Shoplifters Pilfer Bras

Bandar Seri Begawan - A shop which sells ladies undergarments in Kiulap was targeted by alleged shoplifters last Sunday afternoon as five bras, lingerie and one body suit worth $850 were stolen in broad daylight.

The owner said that a group with children had come to the shop and while she was entertaining a customer, one of the women from the group asked the owner about a specific bra and what size it was. The owner said she explained to her and saw the woman browsing other products.

The owner said she thought the group was just browsing, so she continued to entertain the first customer. The owner said she was the only person looking after the shop at that time.

After the group left the owner found the bra that the woman was enquiring about was missing. Yesterday morning, while checking around the shop, the owner discovered more items missing.

She suspected the group of people behind the missing items and lodged a police report. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
