Labu
Estate Primary School came in second with 77.34 per cent
followed by Amo Primary School with 76.33 per cent.
Participation certificates were also presented to Sultan
Hashim Batu Apoi Primary School and Sultan Hassan Bangar
Primary School for winning fourth and fifth places
respectively.
The competition, held at
Sultan Hassan Bangar Primary School, was co-organised by
Brunei Shell Petroleum and the Ministry of Education. It was
also co-chaired by Cikgu Dayang Yusnani binti Ampuan Haji
Yusof, Headmistress of the host school and Cikgu Mohammad
Ariffin bin Haji Matusin, Headmaster of Amo Primary School.

The event was aimed at
exposing the students to safety protocols while on the
roads. Other participating schools included Sekolah
Rendah Semabat, Sekolah Rendah Puni, Sekolah Rendah
Kenua, Sekolah Rendah Piasau-Piasau and Sekolah Rendah
Selangan.
The panel of judges
comprised teachers from Sultan Hassan Bandar Secondary
School namely Cikgu Abdullah bin Abas, Cikgu Nor
Muhammad lqzal bin Abdul Hamid and Cikgu Mohammad Herni
bin Haji Shahminan. The judging criterion was based on
content, creativity, uniqueness, verbal presentation and
bonus in utilising the PowerPoint from each school.
"The pupils were
brought to Bandar Seri Begawan to have a closer look at
the road signs and traffic lights whilst understanding
the functions. They were also asked to observe and make
comments on amblers using the pedestrian crossings,"
said Cikgu Wafa Najla `Itriyah binti Abdullah Pek, an
ICT teacher from Sekolah Rendah Sultan Hassan Hangar.
On hand to present the
prizes to the winners and appreciation certificates to
the judges was Cikgu Othman bin Bolhassan, Temburong
District Assistant I Senior Education Officer of the
Temburong District Department of Schools. He was
accompanied by the co-chairman, Cikgu Mohammad Ariffin
bin Haji Matusin, Headmaster of Sekolah Rendah Amo. --
