UBD To Hold 5th Science, Technology Week

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Faculty of Science (FOS), UBD will be organising its 5th Science and Technology Week (S&T) from June 3rd to 6' at the Chancellor Hall, UBD.

The S&T Week theme is "Science and technology: Innovative, Discover and Inspire" which aim to promote awareness on science and technology in Brunei Darussalam. In particular, the main priority is to educate the younger generation on career opportunities linked with science and technology through several activities and events.

This year's event will mainly be focusing on the development of skilled individuals through science and technology featuring seminars and exhibitions of the FOS's staff expertise and research findings; exhibitions by government and non-government agencies; ICT; and scientific equipment, as well as products.

In line with the theme, the S&T week aims to show students how to be creative 'and innovative using science and technology and hopes to inspire students to take up science subjects at university level.

Some of the exciting activities being held during the event will be the OGDC Tech Challenge Workshop for tertiary level students, secondary students, as well as for teachers. Hands-on-demonstration by the local company BAG Networks on how to green with information technology will also be conducted.
