HRH Represents Brunei

Bandar Seri Begawan - Her Royal Highness Princess Hjh Masna, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MoFaT) yesterday joined Asean ministers and representatives of members states of the United Nations at the Asean-UN International Pledging Conference in Yangon, Myanmar.

The conference, inaugurated by Prime Minister Thein Sein of the Union of Myanmar, was briefed on joint Asean-UN-efforts on the international response to the devastation left behind by Cyclone Nargis by the Secretary General of Asean and the Undersecretary-General of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, a MoFaT media release stated. During the conference, participants discussed relief and rehabilitation initiatives and announced their respective pledges of assistance to Myanmar.
