Crown Prince Bids Farewell To
Visiting Jordanian Royals

the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak
Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah bid farewell to His Majesty King Abdullah
II Al Hussein, King of Jordan and Her Majesty Queen Rania as they
departed from the Brunei International Airport yesterday after a
three-day State Visit to the sultanate.
Their Majesties were given a
farewell salute by the Guard of Honour as they boarded the aircraft.
Also present at the airport was Her Royal Highness Princess Rashidah
Sa'adatul Bolkiah.
Over the three days, the Jordanian
monarch held discussions with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang
Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam which aimed to increase bilateral
relations between Jordan and Brunei. The monarchs have acquiesced to
sign agreements, which had the objective of developing cooperation
in the fields of economy, tourism and defence.
His Majesty King Abdullah II also
had the opportunity visit the military installation in Temburong,
where His Majesty was shown several jungle warfare demonstrations
performed by the Special Force Regiment of the Royal Brunei Armed
Forces while Her Majesty Queen Rania paid a visit to the Yayasan
Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School.
The Jordanian royalties also had
the opportunity to tour the Islamic exhibition at the State Mufti's
Office Darul Ifta where items of Brunei's Islamic heritage were
displayed.
Accompanying the Jordanian
royalties during the state visit were Their Royal Highnesses
Princess Basma and Princess Zein.
