SM Sayyidina Ali Visits Ministry Of Development

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Sayyidina Ali Secondary School of Kuala Belait yesterday, May 10, visited the Ministry of Development. The visit is a project of the Geography Unit of the school. Eighty-one Pre-U students led by Cikgu Norlailawati bte Hj Bolhassan and Cikgu Maznah bte Musa went for the visit.

The Ministry of Development presented a warm welcome, and present to greet them was Dyg Hjh Ainah bte DH Hj Abd Wahab who is the Acting Assistant Commissioner of the Town and Country Planning, Awg Mohd Noor bin Hassan, Assistant Administrator, as well as staff of the Ministry of Development. A career talk was presented by the Acting Assistant Commissioner of Town and Country Planning at Bilik Bertabur of the Ministry of Development.

The briefing presented a career insight on the Town and Country Planning Department, including visions, missions and functions as well as works done by the Department.

The students were given a briefing on suitable qualifications that are required to apply to the department as an officer or any other technical position within the department. It 1.7,4s highlighted that they be forward-looking and capable in strategic thinking.

The students were also brought to the Town and Country Planning Department and got a chance to hear further explanation from officers about the District Development Section, Development Information Section and Planning Development Section. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
