2 New Deputy Perm Sec Appointed

Bandar Seri Begawan - Two new Deputy Permanent Secretaries have been appointed, the Prime Minister's Office announced yesterday.

By command of His Majesty, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, has consented to the appointment of the following officers:

• - Awg Hj Suhaila Hj Abdul Karim, Director of Planning, Development and Research at the Ministry of Education as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the same ministry.
• - Pg Hj Bahrom Pg Hj Bahar, Secretary of Brunei Islamic Religious Council at the Ministry of Religious Affairs as the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The date of appointment of the said officers takes effect today May 4, 2008. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
