New Porsche SUVs A Sheer Head Turner

Bandar Seri Begawan - QAF Eurokars Sdn Bhd yesterday held a soft launch to unveil the new generation of Porsche SUVs the new Cayenne, Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo at the Porsche showroom in Beribi.

Guaranteed to turn heads, the new generation' of Porsche Cayenne has been refined and is more agile - from the wholly improved front section with larger air intakes and sturdy contoured wheel arches, to the dynamic rear section boasting a diffuser style rear apron and new roof spoiler design.

The latest Cayenne models are powered by a new generation of V type engines with an increased cubic capacity offering greater power, more torque and better fuel efficiency. All three models are equipped with a new evolution of Porsche Stability Management (PSM), an electronic active system that automatically stabilises the car in critical road scenarios.

The new Cayenne has a 3.6-litre V6 engine with electronic engine management MED 9.1, which combined with the advantages of direct fuel injection, delivers 290 bhp (213kW).

Additionally the torgue of the engine has climbed to 385 Newton metres. Meanwhile, the new Cayenne S now features a larger 4.8-litre, naturally-aspirated V8 engine with electronic management MED 9.1, which produces 500 Newton metres of torgue and power output rises to 385bhp (283kW).

On the other hand, the performance figures for the new Cayenne Turbo are impressive with an engine output of 500 bhp (368kW).

The new 4.8 litre eight-cylinder engine is boosted by twin exhaust-driven turbochargers and produces 700 Newton metres of torgue.

The standard safety features for this new generation of Porsche Cayenne includes a-six-piston front, four-piston rear monobloc aluminium fixed brake calipers; internally ventilated brake discs; three-point seat belts on all seats - including belt tensioners on the outer rear seats; immobiliser; alarm system - including interior surveillance; and a tilt sensor.
