Gleneagles Cardiac Centre Holds
Talk Heart Disease

Begawan - The Gleneagles Cardiac Centre located at the JPMC in
Jerudong held a special talk on Congenital Heart Disease' yesterday.
It was designed especially for the general public to inform them of
the benefits of early testing of the illness.
Two professors from Gleneagles
Medical Centre of Singapore were on hand to deliver the talk. They
were Professor Dr Ho Ting Fei (Consultant Paediatric Medicine
Singapore Baby & Child) and Professor Dr William Yip (Consultant
Cardiologist).
The talk briefly explained that the
illness is a serious deformation of important organs of the body such
as the heart.
Dr Ho, meanwhile, elaborated on the
importance of exercising properly and listed out steps to take to
ensure that a child with such an illness is given the proper care.
It was pointed out that one out of
100 children is born with this illness. --
