RBA flies Asia Miles

Bandar Seri Begawan - Now you can earn those prestigious Asia Miles when you fly the national carrier Royal Brunei Airlines. And, Asia Miles members can also redeem their mileage for free flights on RBA.

This was revealed yesterday at a milestone ceremony held yesterday at the Royal Brunei Airlines Plaza in the capital during which the official announcement of the partnership between Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) and Asia Miles was made.

With this partnership, Royal Brunei Airlines will be one of the 17 airline partners of Asia Miles, which offers its members the opportunity to earn miles when flying with Asia Miles airline partners.

This means that 2 million Asia Miles members will now have the opportunity to fly on Royal Brunei Airlines and eon Asia Miles. Asia Miles members can also redeem their miles for free flights on Royal Brunei Airlines. Pehin Dato Paduka Awg Hj Hazair Bin Hj Abdullah, the RBA Chairman, made the keynote address to mark the occasion.

In his speech, he pointed out that in spite of internal challenges and external obstacles beyond the Royal Brunei Airlines' control, RBA has taken and will continue to be taking many steps forward.

"Expectations to meet these challenges is placed upon us," he noted. "Last year, we launched RBA's strategic 10-year business plan which is designed to meet the needs of the regional travel market and to assist and support the efforts of Brunei Tourism and the Brunei business community"

He continued to illustrate the benefits of this agreement by saying that with the number of new products introduced by RBA, Asia Miles members will find that the services and products offered by RBA are of higher standards.

RBA has continued in its unrelenting efforts towards positioning itself among the best, he stated. The newly renovated reservations and ticketing office offers a more comfortable atmosphere for customers as well as providing services of a higher standard. This complements the Airport Service Centre where customers are able to make last minute purchases, and other services such as the online booking facilities for RBA's Bluesky fares.

Thus, he said, Asia Miles members will find the Sky Lounge at the Brunei International Airport a truly world-class facility comparable to the highest international standards.

On top of this, RBA's new and refurbished aircraft will also enable Asia Miles members to enjoy their flights.
