Local Gets Jail, Whipping For Drug Trafficking

Bandar Seri Begawan - A local man was found guilty of possessing drugs at the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court yesterday.

The local man, Wasman, was sentenced to five years imprisonment and five lashes for possessing class 'A' methyl amphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

He was arrested by the officials from the Narcotic Control Bureau in Kampong Bolkiah on July 23, 2001.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
