Seven Foreigners Issued Special Passes In KB, Lumut

Belait - Five Thai and two Indian nationals were given special passes in the three-hour operation in several areas in Lumut and Kuala Belait yesterday for further investigation.

No arrest was made during the operation which focused on five foreign living quarters Di Sungai Bakong and Sungai Tali as well as the Jalan Jaya Negara in Kuala Belait.

The Immigration Enforcement Unit in Kuala Belait said the continuous efforts have been made by the enforcement units in their moves to combat crimes and illegal immigrants from residing in the country.

It said such an operation would continue to be conducted as a reminder to foreign workers in the country that they must always carry with them relevant travel documents with the hope their operation will run smoothly.
