Forty Two Schools Get Books From
Language Literature Bureau

Begawan - The Language Literature Bureau yesterday presented
books to 42 government and non-government secondary schools throughout
the country.
The books and magazines consisting of
200 different titles were published by the bureau and ASEAN COCI.
Acting Permenant Secretary at the
Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports, Dato Haji Matussin, presented
the books to the principals of schools and colleges.
To date, the Language and Literature
Bureau has published 900 titles of books. Among them entitled "Meniti
Gugusan Rasa" was given away yesterday. It is a compilation of 16
short stories written by 12 local writers and use as a literature text
book in secondary schools.
According to the bureau, at present
there are 150 local writers who are actively engaged in authorship.
As a government agency that is
responsible in publishing reading materials aimed at upgrading
education and knowledge of the citizens and people of this country,
the Language and Literature Bureau assured that all reading materials
