Royal Brunei Armed Forces To Mark 42nd Anniversary at Berakas Stadium

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) will centralize its 42nd anniversary celebration this year at the Indoor Stadium in Berakas on Saturday.

This year's celebration carries the theme "Ilmu Asas Keberkesanan Pertahanan'.

The final rehearsal of the celebration was held yesterday. Present was the Deputy Minister of Defence, (Ret) Maj Gen Pengiran Haji Ibnub Baasith and the RBAF Commander Pehin Dato Haji Awang Halbi.

Lt Col Haji Abdul Ghani, chairman of the celebration, said the highlight of the 42nd celebration is an arena performance, which will be held in the Indoor Stadium starting from 9 am.

Meanwhile, a static performance will be held outside the stadium at 2.30pm. members of the public are welcomed to watch the celebration that day.

This year's celebration will be participated in by all five major units of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

Lt Col Haji Abdul Ghani also said that various exhibitions, including weaponry display and career exhibition will be displayed during the occasion.   -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
