New Fire Station For Lambak Kanan

Begawan - A new $3.9 million fire station will be built to give
fire protection and other emergency cases in Lambak Kanan National
Housing Scheme and its surroundings.
A ceremony to lay the foundation
stone was held at the construction site of the project.
Present at the ceremony was the
Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Dato Haji Adnan.
Construction works on the new fire
station project commences last February and expected to be completed
in August next year.
Built on a 4.025 hectare piece of
land, the new fire station is one of the five fire stations project in
the sultanate for the Fire Services Department under the Eight
National Development Plan.
The construction project will include
the administration block, a dormitory block, a smoke house and the
other facilities.
The Lambak Kanan Fire Station is
situated next to the Lambak Kanan Mosque will provide its services to
around 37,000 people living in Mukim Berakas 'B' and its surrounding
areas.
Of the total number, 20,000 people
are living in Lambak Kanan Housing Scheme. -- Courtesy
