Chung Ching Middle School Team as the Opposer in round 1. They won Round 1 and Round 2 on May 20. The Arts and Academic Group Activities Section of the Co-Curriculum Department organised an Inter-school English Debate. The debate was divided into upper secondary (Form 4 & 5) category and Form 6/college category for all the nation's government and non-government schools.

The first two rounds were held on May 20, 2003 with 32 teams from the upper secondary level. The themes for the debate on that day were 'Today's Children Are Spoilt' for round 1 and 'There Are Too Many School Holidays' for round 2.

The third round for the debate was held yesterday with the topic 'Money Rules Our Life'.

Sixteen teams out of the 32 will be selected for the Octo-Final after competing in the three rounds. The topic for the debate in the Octo-Final will only be released one hour before the debate starts.

The Grand Final will be held on August 14, 2003 at Radio Television Brunei.

The category for Form 6 and colleges will be held in early June.
