Man Jailed For Failing To Pay Drug Fine

Bandar Seri Begawan - Sofyan Hussin, 31, will have to serve four months in jail because he failed to pay the $2,300 fine imposed on him on Saturday. Sofyan had pleaded guilty before the Magistrate to two charges of misusing drugs.

He was first fined $1,500 or three months jail for consuming Methylamphetamine on September 15 four years ago.

Another $800 or one month in jail was imposed when he pleaded guilty to having in his possession drug apparatus intended for consumption. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
