Music festivals to be held at JP

A 5-day Tamuria Meifiesta will begin on 28 May, 2003 and go on until 2 June. Starting every day at 5 pm until 12 midnight, the Tamuria will be held at Jerudong Park Playground Phase 1. It is jointly organised by the Jerudong Park Country Club Sdn. Bhd. and Digital Snail Solutions.

A total of 14 stalls will be offered for those who are interested to join the Tamuria Meifiesta with a rental fee of $280, according to a press release from Digital Snail Solutions.

There is no limit on the number of products that can be displayed for sale. Application forms to set up these stalls can be obtained either from JPCC Admin office, Jerudong or at Digital Snail Solutions Office at No. 169, Spg. 169, Kg. Kumbang Pasang. The closing date for registration is 23rd May 2003.

The Tamuria Meifiesta will be full of exciting and entertaining activities for people of all ages.

The festival will be kicked off with a bang on the first day by a melodious brass band performance by the Royal Brunei Police Force, which will be followed by the budding talents in a singing audition open to members of the public who wish to show off their flair for singing.

A night to markMother's Day will be held on Friday, 30th May soon after the Fire Services Department's brass band perform. The Mother's Day performance will feature pop and R&B artistes.

A Hip Hop and R&B Fiesta featuring Hip Hop rappers will be held on Saturday, 31st May and one of the groups who will be performing is the acclaimed B Style.

A Gambus show by Setia will be highlighted on the last day of the Tamuria Meifiesta on Sunday, 1st June 2003.

Entry tickets can be obtained for a mere $1.00.

In addition to the thrilling Tamuria Meifiesta, the public is set up for a night of fun on Saturday, 7 June 2003, with a Hip Hop Mania Concert to be held at JPCC Amphitheatre starting 8.00 pm. The concert is organised by the same companies as the Tamuria.

There will be seven Hip Hop groups present at the concert - Infamus, INV, Blz Squaddd, MNC, Quest MC, Enoya n Liyana and the B Style with the opening act by Sova X with their funky music.

Tickets cost $10 each and can be purchased at the gates at the JPCC Amphitheatre on the day of the concert. Children below 12 years of age are granted free admission.
