Computerised ambassador

The Foreign Ministry of Japan in
Tokyo announced yesterday, a 21-year-old woman created by computer
graphics, shown in this photo, has been appointed as a goodwill
ambassador to promote exchanges between Japan and the Association of
Southeast Asian Nations (Asean). The ministry asks the public by June
9 to name this computerised imaginary woman who will serve as a symbol
of the ''Asean-Japan Exchange Year 2003."
