Tutong Gathering With His Majesty Planned In July 

Tutong - A get-together ceremony between His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Dipertuan of Brunei with his subjects in the Tutong district is the climax of the monarch's 57th birthday anniversary in the district.

The event is scheduled for July at the Tutong civic centre. A preparatory meeting was held this morning among members of the national committee of the royal birthday anniversary to discuss about the format of the get-together.

The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Adanan, the chairman of the national committee hopes the celebration this year will attract more participation from every level of the community.

Such strong support from the society will enhance the festivals's mood besides making sure that the program runs smoothly.

The meeting also examined the chairman's final reports. The get-together in Tutong will involve more than four hundred students as well as members of the welfare associations in the district. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
