Temburong
- The Temburong district has its own distinguished uniqueness
to attract visitors there. Tourists who want to stay overnight have no
problems in looking for a place to stay when the government provides a
Rest House.
The Rest House is being built at
Pekan Bangar, the main town of the district, and can accommodate a
large number of visitors at a time.
It has six air-conditioned rooms,
each with six beds. Every room comes with a sharing bathroom, a
refrigerator and a television set. Lodging charge is $25 a night.
Apart from the main Rest House, two
chalet houses are also built nearby. Teratak Semala and Teratak Sisik
is each equipped with a guestroom, two double beds and is fully
air-conditioned, and has a refrigerator, a television set and modern
bathroom facilities to ensure maximum comfort and convenienec of the
guests. The charge is $80 per night.
There's also a conference room, which
the public can rent, and a restaurant. One kilometre away from the
rest house is another lodging place called Teratak Madu.
Local and foreign visitors can stay
here while exploring the beauty of Tmburong District's flora and
fauna. The Lukut Intan Rest House is another place to stay.
It is situated two kilometres from
Pekan Bangar and provides similar facilities.
According to the staff working here,
visitors have to book in advance. They said the busiest time is during
school holidays and weekends when the rooms are usually fully booked.
