Brunei's First Open Heart Surgery Patient Doing Fine

Jerudong - The first local patient undergoing the open-heart surgery in Brunei, Dayang Bungsu Binti Hashim, is recovering well and was discharged from the Gleneagles-JPMC Cardiac Centre this afternoon.

Dayang Bungsu is now fully stable after six days of being warded in the Cardiac Centre in Jerudong. She even walked from the ward with her family beside her in a show of support.

Dayang Bungsu had heart surgery last Saturday. A professional team of surgeons and experienced nurses performed the highly complex three-hour surgery with the assistance of state-of the-art technology.
