Brunei's First Open Heart Surgery
Patient Doing Fine
Jerudong - The
first local patient undergoing the open-heart surgery in Brunei,
Dayang Bungsu Binti Hashim, is recovering well and was discharged from
the Gleneagles-JPMC Cardiac Centre this afternoon.
Dayang Bungsu is now fully stable
after six days of being warded in the Cardiac Centre in Jerudong. She
even walked from the ward with her family beside her in a show of
support.
Dayang Bungsu had heart surgery last
Saturday. A professional team of surgeons and experienced nurses
performed the highly complex three-hour surgery with the assistance of
state-of the-art technology.
